Reinforced Concrete
Reinforced Concrete
Reinforcement for concrete is provided by embedding deformed steel bars or welded wire fabric within freshly made concrete at the time of casting. The purpose of reinforcement is to provide additional strength for concrete where it is needed. Reinforced concrete is extremely durable and requires little maintenance. It has good thermal mass, and is inherently fire resistant. Rebar is generally made from 100% recycled scrap, and at the demolition stage, the concrete and rebar are capable of being separated so that the steel can be recycled.

We are all pleased to recommend Kelly Contracting who recently carried out a project for us. We originally appointed Kelly Contracting to design and construct a basement car park for an apartment development. Kelly started work very quickly and adapted their method of working to include for significant decontamination of the site.
